Corporate Green Philosophy
CDL believes that protecting the environment is a social responsibility of corporate citizens. As a major developer, we are committed to offering a living environment that is conducive for a healthy and comfortable lifestyle. Supporting the conservation of nature and the environment is complementary to our business commitment.
To ensure a "Safe and Green" Culture, CDL has formulated an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Policy to monitor and control the organisation's impact of its activities on the environment.
For CDL's pioneering efforts in taking the lead to raise environmental and occupational health and safety standards in all its projects, CDL became the first private property developer in Singapore to be awarded both the BCA ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000 certification for property development and project management services in 2003.
This certification bears testimony to CDL's commitment to drive EHS issues from a client perspective, and to deliver quality CDL homes that are easy to maintain and efficient to operate.
On the international front, CDL is also the first private property developer from Singapore to be conferred the UK's Royal Society For the Prevention of Accidents (RosPA) Gold Award for excellence in managing health and safety issues in 2006.

Project Eco Office, launched in 2002, is an initiative by CDL in partnership with Singapore Environment Council to change the way we work, think, and manage precious natural resources within our offices. Let’s Live Green was launched in 2004 to educate and inform homebuyers on how to practise green habits within their homes. Homebuyers are given an Eco-Kit containing a Green Living Guide that features eco-friendly tips and healthy recipes, as well as an A3-size poster of the environmentally-friendly features within and around their homes, to reinforce the message of going green at home. |

As an advocate for environmental protection, CDL pledged a three-year commitment to the Green Partnership Programme set up by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC). CDL's contribution will go towards SEC projects that educate, raise awareness and inspire fellow Singaporeans to care for the environment.
